Proposal Daisakusen

I've watched Proposal Daisakusen (Operation Love) J-drama all 11 episodes in one day because I don't have anything else to do. Its my first day of semester break. Eventually I only have few days before working on some programs. This drama was aired April 2007 in Japan and my sister bought the DVD 2 months ago.
So here's the synopsis of the series.

Yamashita Tomohisa and Nagasawa Masami play a young man and woman who have been friends since elementary school. Yamashita's character, Iwase Ken, is obstinate and unskilled in love, but he fell long ago for the lively and cheerful woman, Yoshida Rei, played by Nagasawa. But Rei is about to get married to another man. While Ken and other friends from high-school attend the wedding ceremony, a fairy appears and sends Ken back in time, giving him a second chance to win the girl he loves.

So in this story, Ken can goes back in time to fix his mistakes. Every one in this world would like to goes back in time before any bad thing happens. Eventhough he return so many times to the past, it does have a strong script. It also kept me watching from one and another episodes till final one. Suddenly I remember about Hiro Nakamura in Heroes series. However, its not very Islamic since he's believing in a fairy and also trying to fix the past. Everything that we have done is a learning process and its important for us to learn from our mistakes. And why does the magic word has to be 'Hallelujah'?

So, the moral values in this story is that, both parties either man or woman, should be honest with their heart and express their feelings without waiting for the best time and opportunity. Throw away your pride and ego. We couldn't get a second chance if anything happen. I remember to receive a chain-emails that its better to tell someone you love now or one day he/she will be gone for good.

When I'm trying to reflect this story to myself, I guess at some point, its hard for me to express the feelings as I'm looking for the right time. But once I've told her, its kinda relief as I'm ready for the answer. Rejection is hard but its a good option to look for some one else. I guess this is the best romance drama after Hana Yori Dango 2 in 2007.

P/S- its funny when I read back my schooldays love diary 2003 :)

Heroes

I've been waiting to blog about this great drama series, Heroes. Just finished watching the last episode for the first season that I've downloaded from the net.

In the beginning of the series, its fun to see how normal people have their own secret power and trying to keep it as their own secret. But later in the story, its getting complicated to see how the relationship among each characters took place.

The visual effect is great especially when New York was devastated and reconstructed. OK, its all about CGI. Its kinda interesting to see the how they place the Episode Title in the environment. In the end, Sylar lives right?

The last episode is full of suspens and its one of the best series in 2007.

Hana Yori Dango Returns

This is the sequel of the Hana Yori Dango and in this drama, its revolves around more conflict before both of them could actually live together happily ever after.

Absolutely, if you've already watched the first season, you need to watch this one. It was aired in Japan from 5 Jan to 16 Mar 2007 and thanks to the torrent file sharing, I managed to watch all of the episode I've downloaded from others.

I love the insert song Flavor of Life by Utada Hikaru. At first when I listen to the song, I'm thinking of Utada because she's very good with low notes and when I surfed the net, yeah, its hers. The theme song for this drama is Love So Sweet by Arashi. I just found out that Matsumoto Jun was one of the Arashi members. Just like Takuya Kimura with SMAP, both are good actors.
Wedding Proposal
Actually I wanted to blog about this earlier, but I've just waited until I've watched the final episode. I love this drama and I wonder if there's HYD 3.

One thing that's kinda weird is that, this drama time setting was from Nov 2006 to early 2007. As if the story uses the same time as we watch them. But I know they will shoot this drama earlier

1 Liter Of Tears

Isn't too much if you wanna produce 1 litre of tears? I just finished watching this series lately and thanks to Miss Dzafirah for telling me about this great J-drama.

Synopsis
The plot is based on the true story of a Japanese girl named Kito Aya, who had the same disease. She kept writing in her diary to remember her experiences until she could no longer hold a pen. Aya simply wished to live until the end of her life, and the purpose of writing in the diary was to remind herself to not give up. She shed tears many times, at the same time encompassed by the rich love and support from her family, friends, and boyfriend. Her diary “1 Litre of Tears” was published after her death, because of its inspiring and courageous message of, “Just being alive is such a lovely and wonderful thing.” So far, over 18,000,000 copies of her diary have been sold.

Actually, I've got plenty of time to watch J-Drama lately because I have no exams and since we have the LAN network in Mahallah Bilal, its quite simple to share dramas and movies.

Ikeuchi Aya, is such a great character. She reminds me about the passion in living life, as she already live her life to the fullest eventhough of her disability. I'm totally shocked when I know that there's such a disease in this world. Slowly you will unable to do what you can do today from walking to talking. I'm looking forward to see people with this disease as I'm feeling very grateful of what I have now.

Truly, its a sad story but I enjoyed it. Erika Sawajiri is kawaii and she reminds me of Dzafirah especially when she smiles. You should watch this drama and see how litre of tears you'll cry. ;)

Bawang Merah Bawang Putih

Finally, there’s the end of the drama series; Bawang Merah Bawang Putih. Let’s translate them into ‘Onion and Garlic’.

I don’t watch this drama from the beginning. I just happen to watch them during the Hari Raya Eid Fitr when I was visiting my cousin and it was my first time watching them. I’ve fall in love with Nia Ramadhani, the evil Siska. Eventhough she’s pretty, but people will love to hate her because she’s good in playing the bad ass character. I only can watch this drama twice a week because I’ve got evening class on Monday and Wednesday. Luckily the final episode was on 1st Feb which is Wilayah Persekutuan public holiday.

This drama has won the Panasonic People Choice Award (if I’m not mistaken) but there’s something fishy here. I don’t like the trophy design where it looks like a Jesus on a cross (replaced with the wings). Besides that, the existence of the fairy, Puteri Cahaya is very disturbing because they believed in the fairy instead of the Almighty God. In this situation, it is more likely to be like association (Shirk) because they put the fairy above God.

By the way, after few tiring and fast paced episodes of conflicts, the series ended on the 108 episodes. I admit that the final one is very fast. Out of nowhere they’ve caught Siska and they live happily ever after. It all happens in an instant!

Densha Otoko

Densha Otoko

I've just watched this J-Drama and I found it kinda interesting where it kinda reflects a bit of my life, is it? Its a love story between an Otaku and one beautiful girl. So, what its all about?

SYNOPSIS
A true love story turned to bestselling novel, created from the Internet BBS, 2channel to blockbuster hit movie. Itoh Misaki plays Aoyama Saori, working as an office lady at a MNC, gets into trouble with a drunkard on a train. She's saved by Yamada Tsuyoshi, played by Itoh Atsushi. As a form of appreciation, she sends him Hermes teacups. Having no experience with the opposite sex, Tsuyoshi decides to ask for help on the Aladdin Channel BBS on how to interact with Saori.

I watched this drama because my sister was watching it at home. But since I'm quite busy during the break, I only manage to watch during my first busy week.

Why did I say it reflects a bit of my life? Well, I'm not gonna say that I'm an Otaku. I even don't have any Anime series in my PC. I never download any of them. Okay. To be honest, I only watch Anime that my sisters watch. Currently she's watching Emma on Animax. Its just about sharing the same interest so that I can be a good brother. Am I?

By the way, my friends do love watching Anime. I think its kinda addictive once you watch the anime right from the first episode. Besides beautiful and cute characters.. hmm.. OK.. that's just a bit about anime. Back to the drama.

Another thing that reflect my life is the cyber life. Yeah.. even though I'm not into any forums right now, but seriously I'm using YM to chat with my friends besides sharing my problems with them too.

One thing that's totally different is my social life. Eventhough in the beginning of the story, its seems like they are having impossible relationship, yeah.. Otaku that looks very nerd with beautiful high-class girl.. The key of success in their relationship is honesty. Yea.. I need to be honest. I think I've been honest through out my life..

By watching this drama too, honestly I'm totally impressed and encouraged to chase my dream besides having a good future with my soulmate. I'd like to recommend this drama to any guys that love watching Anime and currently reading my post! hehe..

P/S - Itoh Misaki is beautiful.. She looks like Nasha Aziz..

Engine

This is another Japanese drama that I watched recently. I borrowed it from my girlfriend again and here's the brief synopsis about it.

Jiro Kanzaki is an F3000 test driver blessed with acute sensitivity and breathtaking driving techniques. He's a daredevil who feels no fear driving at speeds that even top racers dare not attempt. But unexpected trouble forces this world-famous racer to leave his team and return to Japan for the first time in years. Until he finds a new job as a racer, Jiro decides to stay with his parents. What awaits Jiro there is his hardheaded father, his nagging sister, the 12 children of the foster home his father runs, a snobbish male nurse, and a stubborn female nurse who likes to daydream about her life.
Jiro's return home brings a breath of fresh air that influences the people around him. However, he is still unaware that he too will eventually be influenced to change the way he thinks and lives.

I like the plot of this drama because it manage to develop most of the character well besides the main characters. Finally he ended up being a 4WD racer. Some comparison.. the leading actress is not that kawaii.. but thats OK.. no romantic kissing scene in the end unlike the previous 'Good Luck' and 'Pride' drama. But his characteristic is quite the same. This story also had opened my mind that there's such culture in Japan where people send their kids to foster home. In Malaysia, I think its better called as hostel. Not all of them are orphanage but seriously they've got family problem.

Devil Beside You

I've watched this interesting Taiwanese drama because my friend borrowed me this story. Its kinda interesting. Here's the synopsis, taken from YesAsia.com

Mike He and Rainie Yang play a couple who often quarrel with each other. Mike is a young man who doesn't know how to express his love for his girlfriend, a lively girl played by singer Rainie Yang. To complicate matters, their parents are planning to marry each other, making them stepsiblings. Apart from the idols' handsome faces, their dramatic acting is also what appeals to the Taiwanese audience, making Devil Beside You the most loved Taiwanese romantic TV series in 2005!

I like this romance comedy drama series. I even finished watching them during the week I have to submit my umbrella design. Just imagine how addicted I am to this series. By the time I'm blogging this topic, ASTRO on AEC channel had already broadcasted the 11th episode of this series. I love watching Rainie Yang! She's so cute and adorable!

Gol & Gincu The Series

I've watched the first episode of this drama. Its the continuity of its film, which seems like 'Legally Blonde' but in futsal matters. Anyway, I'm not gonna discuss about the story. What am I excited is about Limkokwing Design School.

Yeah, they promote their institution through this series. With their international level, we can see various races and peoples in this school. But, I wonder, UIA also have a good design school, KAED, with multi ethnics and so on. Its just that, the role of media. They don't like to support those with Islamic identities.

Anyway, I'll follow this series, just to have a glimpse on how Limkokwing students live and design!

Meteor Garden 2005

Hana Yori Dango. I bet you musta know the Taiwanese drama, Meteor Garden with F4 guys few years ago. But this time, its in the Japanese version. Actually my sister just bought it and I've spent some time together with my siblings to watch this in one night. OMG! Am I that obsessed?

The storyline is similar to the original one, the different is just the setting and the language. I think this drama is better and cool. Hehe.. I just loved the actors and they are real actors. Not like the F4 before, amateurs!

So, if you a big fan of Meteor Garden, try give this drama a shot. Tell me what you think about it ok?
