Study Visit

Again, my department, Applied Arts & Design held a study visit to the National Art Gallery and Kompleks Kraf. It took the whole day, from dawn to dusk. Its kinda tiring day but its good for students and mostly for applied arts students. I mean, it can give students exposures and boost up ideas upon making artworks.

At the National Art Gallery (Balai Seni Lukis Negara), nearby Titiwangsa Lake, there was some artworks from Sabahans artist, MMU students besides a photography exhibition.

While at the Kompleks Kraf (Craft Complex), Jalan Conlay, there was an exhibition about local traditional craft such as Batik, Songket, Metalwork and so on. There was also the monthly exhibition themed 'Wedding Works' and they displayed some designs of 'pelamin', bedroom and dining table for wedding function, all of theme applied 'bird cage' theme. Besides, visitors also can have 'do-it-yourself' batik design and lots more to see but make sure its a place to visit this month.
